Someone suggested Ram's on Queens Blvd in the 'related story'.

I love this guy, not positive he does alignments, but definitely worth asking. He has a 2002 project in the back, and loves old German cars. Competent, fair, and straightforward.

Alas I don't have any input here unless you're willing to fly to the UK, but I'm loving the photo :)

Alignment is for pussies. Real New Yorkers just hit another kerb on the other side and straighten things up.

I called him, they don't do alignments, but they recommended Sica on Atlantic by Grand. Gonna go there.

Awesome, let me know how it goes, Mario's a good guy. Also, I'm going to need an alignment after I do control arms :D
Also, if you ever find yourself in that hood again, beers!

Go where I take my wagon. Milad Nuko and Sons Gulf station in Yonkers. Right off the north bway exit on 9a.

Also check out Cybert tire on 10th and about 55th. Very nice there.

I ended up going to Sica on Atlantic and Grand, out past the new basketball arena. Great guys, nice chats, cool old facility. The bug still pulls a bit to the left as it did before, but I think not as much. It may just be forever that way following the roll, and the mechanic dude pointed out that the torsion bar looks raised a bit on one side. In the end, fifty bucks kinda well spent?

I have nothing constructive to add. But I do want to let you know that your VW love has rubbed off on me. When I was a kid I wanted a Speed Buggy to call my own. I talked with my dad about it and he told me it was based on a Beatle platform and available as a kit. So recently I started to window shop for one and found this. The want is mighty!!! http://atlanta.craigslist.org/wat/cto/447326…

Just do it yourself, all you need is some string, a tape measure and a torpedo level. Use to do this on my '57/'69 IRS pan with the adjustable beam.

awesome! I looked into getting a buggy and seeing if I could DD it in the winter

I'd have to keep at as a fair weather car. My next DD will probably have to be a minivan because of kids and other assorted domestic bliss stuff.
